Universal Tier List
Great for any subject or Year Level!
The Vault is a high-octane, visual tier-ranking tool designed to transform standard curriculum content into active critical thinking exercises. Instead of just memorizing facts, students must analyze, compare, and prioritize information—ranging from historical figures and scientific theories to literary themes and mathematical concepts. By requiring a written "justification" for every placement, the activity shifts the focus from simple categorization to evidence-based reasoning and debate.
How To Use
-
Define the Topic: As a class, define the topic (e.g., "Best Tourism Destinations/Historical Sources") and specific sorting criteria in the subtitle.
-
Populate the Vault: Get students to upload their images (either they google them or you provide them to them). Students use the UPLOAD button to add images or diagrams relevant to the topic. These will appear in the "Unranked Items" section at the bottom.
-
Rank & Sort: Students drag items from the vault into the tiers (S through F).
-
Tip: Define what each tier represents before starting (e.g., S = Most Impactful, F = Least Relevant).
-
-
Justify Choices: For every item placed, students should click the Message Icon to write a short defense of their ranking. This provides the qualitative data for assessment.
-
Review & Export: Once the ranking is complete, use the SAVE PDF button. This generates a clean, landscape-oriented document including the tier list and student justifications, perfect for digital portfolios or LMS submission
