30 Squares

30 Squares Championship is a high-energy, gamified review tool designed to turn student productivity into a strategic battle for territory. It’s part task-management, part territory-grab, and part "luck-of-the-draw" finale! The board consists of 30 numbered squares. Your students (or groups) aren't just answering questions; they are competing for the squares. Every time a student completes a challenge, solves a problem, or finishes a task, they get to claim a square! All you need are 30 questions, maybe from a worksheet, maybe you get your students to create them - up to you!

How To Play

1. The Setup 📝

  • Add Your Players: Input individual names or group names (e.g., "The Einsteins," "Table 4").

  • Set the Stakes: Choose your timer duration (usually 10–20 minutes works best for a solid review session).

  • The Mission: Assign your curriculum tasks. This could be a set of math problems, a reading passage, or a lab activity.

2. The Square Grab 🚩

  • As soon as a student completes a task, they come to the board and click a square.

  • The Rule: They must pick an empty square first. This phase is a race to fill the 30-square grid as fast as possible.

3. The Great Steal 🚨 (The Twist!)

  • Once all 30 squares are occupied, the game shifts into Overdrive.

  • If a student completes another task, they can now STEAL a square from anyone else on the board.

  • A dramatic siren sounds, a "TAKEOVER" alert flashes across the screen, and the square flips to the new owner. This keeps students working hard until the very last second—no one is safe!!

4. The Grand Finale 🎰

  • When the timer hits 00:00, the game automatically transitions into the Lucky Draw.

  • A high-speed lottery roll spins through the numbers.

  • The student who owns the square that the lottery lands on is crowned the Championship Winner!

🔥 Why Teachers & Students Love It

  • 100% Engagement: Even students who usually sit back will scramble to complete tasks so they can protect their territory or steal back a square.

  • Visual Urgency: The pulsing timer and color-coded board provide a constant visual reminder of the "ticking clock."

  • Total Fairness: Since the winner is chosen by a random square at the end, having more squares increases your odds, but even the student with just one square has a "puncher's chance" to win it all.

  • Zero Cleanup: It’s all digital, saves your state automatically, and is ready for the next period in one click.

💡 Pro-Tip for the Classroom:

Project this onto your SmartBoard or main screen. The sound effects for "Takeovers" and the "Drum Roll" at the end create a stadium-like atmosphere that will have your students cheering!
